Friday Fun Part 2: Cross E Ranch Baby Animal Festival

After the Tulip Festival we headed home to pick up Travis, who had been at work, and Alex and Cassidy, who were not interested in seeing flowers.

We all had a quick snack and headed out to Cross E Ranch to see all their adorable baby animals!

Cassidy, Emie, and Dot were willing to stick their heads in for me. Alex was having none of it.

I love piglets!! They love shoe laces!

The bunnies were a big hit with everyone and I'm pretty sure we would have left with one if Travis weren't horribly allergic!

Even Alex, who was displeased with the idea of going to see baby animals couldn't help but be swayed in to loving the fluffy bunnies.

GOATS!!  (And a lamb!)

I decided a group of baby goats should be called a puddle.

Chicks!

Hay maze!

Dot was more interested in seeing how high she could climb.
Tractor train ride!

Really angry donkeys who were not interested in having us in the pen with them.

Lambs posing.

This goat is called Fat Amy. (Her real name is Patricia.)

Waiting for the hay ride to learn all about the ranch.

Saying hello to the orphaned calves on our way out of the farm.

Pretty much every animal Cass came in contact with tried to eat him or his clothes. We decided that he must be the bacon of humans.

So many adorable babies! We will definitely be heading back for their Fall Festival and to see the new babies next spring!!

A Friday of Fun, Part 1: Tulip Festival!

Friday was a day of great adventure. Grandma Debbie is staying with us so we took her out for a day on the town! Our first stop was Thanksgiving Point for their annual Tulip Festival.

This also marks the fact that it's been about a year since I began this blog. It's the longest I've continuously kept up something and I'm so happy that I have because looking back on all these memories and all the amazing growth both intellectually and emotionally (not to mention physically!) that my family has gone through is such an amazing thing.

Anyway! To the photos!

Thanksgiving Point is really a beautiful place...

Learning some of the names of the tulips we're about to see...

Taking a break with Grandma...

Mom! I'm flying!!

A mother owl and her three owlets!
Emie discovered the foam from the waterfalls is fun to play in!

It convinced Dot that getting out of the Tula to explore was worth it!

There are so so so many stunning varieties of plants and flowers.

My favorite!

These white tulips with the shaggy edges were another favorite.

These should be renamed the "EmieDot" variety. They're purple and pink!

I love this quote <3

Kids explore and touch and smell. So many ways to learn about the world.

Smile!

Angry faces!

Silly faces!

Can you see the disco ball?

Emie gone wild!

Bouncy slide because of course.

Grandma hugs!

I said "Emie! Duck!" She did this and said "QUACK!"

What a beautiful place!
